They used to call her the ‘Sleeping Beauty’, but – though she’s hit the snooze button a few times – Bordeaux is now wide awake and ready for action. The new LGV Sud-Ouest line, due for completion in mid- 2017, connects the city with Europe’s high- speed train network and cuts travel time from Paris to just two hours. Its timing is perfect. Bordeaux's Sunday market – Marche des Quais – on the banks of the Garonne is a lot of fun. We loved the fresh oysters, shucked to order

    I love Bordeaux.
My only complaint is that there's hardly any foliage/parks/trees/green spaces, (like Nantes, for example).

I prefer the city of Lyon, for the fact that it has great restaurants, has good diversions, it is a clean and dynamic and beautiful city, is close to the Burgundy, Alps and the Mediterranean.😉.

LOL – Bordeaux is a hell hole, like the whole of France. Bordeaux's biggest attraction is the new TGV line to Paris… Maybe people should go to Paris instead (though as much of a hell hole Paris is, it's at least a real city, as opposed to a village)

I don't understand, this choice has been made by French ? I'm happy of course, because I'm French but is it fair ? I'm still very surprised

I burst into tears while watching this video. Brought back so many memories of my erasmus in Bordeaux. I will be eternally in love with this city and I dream that someday I will return.
